As is well known, there is marked dissonant thinking in conservative circles regarding personal freedom. You would think: what is conservative about denying women healthcare? What is conservative about curtailing the freedom to marry whoever you love? Both examples are intrusions of the government into private life. But it doesn’t matter; at bottom, they are just white, Christian, straight(perhaps) males who like to subjugate women and delegitimize the homosexual as an equal human being.
