Jeb? Scott? No Contest

HuffPo is of two minds today; there is a piece written by one of their staff that reports that Scott Walker is leading in an Iowa poll. Just below that, it links to the WaPo, who opines that Jeb Bush is the winner of the nomination right now.

Of course, it is far too early to anoint a nominee just yet, but it behooves us to follow the money that Mitt was once to inherit. Now, there are a slew of donors that are too delusional to have any scratch, but there they are, getting ready to spend on Republican prospects.

Does being rich make you slightly insane? Who really believes that any one in the clown show can beat Hillary Clinton? Lots of people, evidently. I haven’t seen an ounce of gravitas from the GOP wannabes. At least the Bush brand, while not without its own baggage, is known nationally. If I were rich, I would be trying to buy influence from Clinton. It’s not like she’s going to interrupt the upper crust’s never-ending need for more profit. Even Barack Obama didn’t want to do that(he’s a little late to be proposing even the tiniest bit of tax on the 1%’s filthy lucre). But untold, well, probably told millions will be spent by the cash-engorged to get a Republican into the highest office in the land. What a waste. It’s almost funny if it weren’t so pathetic. This is an utterly predictable election, and it hasn’t even officially started yet.
