If It Bleeds…

Let’s be clear: Bernie Sanders will not be the Democratic nominee.

I’m sorry to hurt your feelings, but it isn’t going to happen.

Some of you will stay home rather than vote for Hillary Clinton. Bully for you. Thanks in advance for helping elect a Republican.

You dumbasses. There is a fuck of a lot of daylight between Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton. But you’re too busy bitching that she’s Republican-lite. So are you ready to drink the full-bodied flavor of Republican rule for at least four years?

Come on, guys. Get over yourselves. Vote Bernie in the primary. Ain’t gonna make a dime’s worth of difference. When you see the numbers come in from Iowa, then maybe you’ll realize what a quixotic quest you have been on. Bernie, bless his heart, is still several double digits behind Clinton. It won’t change. He’s got very narrow appeal, and that is that.

So anyway, Politicus, a reliable source for good lefty news, is upset that there is no coverage of Bernie and that Trump and the GOP are hogging the headlines. The insinuation is that this is calculated.

Sorry, guys. You have to remember that the first Republican debate is only one day away. Furthermore, there’s no match for Trump’s delicious gristle; guy says something crazy daily and it is juicy as hell.

Now what I have seen is that there is coverage of Bernie, but most of it is negative. They don’t do Hillary any favors either. In fact, it looks like all the candidates are being tarred. The takeaway is this: the media will feed on anything that is sensational. Sanders, for all his populist bluster, can’t hold a candle to the Trump-monster. You won’t see a lot of Clinton either-she has nothing to gain by trying to compete with the idiocy of the GOP. Might as well let them destroy themselves.

There’s no conspiracy. The media is just doing what it does, all the time. That’s not a good thing, but there it is.
