The Stupid Party Loses A Member

It’s getting weird and hairy in the Republican camp. It is turning on itself. You have Rick Santorum affirming Bruce Jenner’s desire to be a girl, and now you have none other than Rick Perry telling Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and the entire Infowars crew to calm down:

Former Texas governor Rick Perry drew the sharpest contrast with Abbott’s Infowars pandering.

“It’s OK to question your government. I do it on a regular basis,” he said on May 5, per the Dallas Morning News. “But the military is something else. Our military is quite trustworthy. The civilian leadership, you can always question that, but not the men and women in uniform.”

Now I’m not saying that Rick Perry has regained his senses. He still genuflects to the mighty military in true goose-step form. But I think it’s funny that he gets to be the voice of reason here. I fully expect this circular firing squad to continue. Stay tuned.

About The Head Seminarian

I might be the nicest person you'll ever meet, but if you don't believe me, that is because I hate you. I went to war, I went to father, I came, I saw, and it is a mess. I wouldn't have it any other way. Shitty people amuse me, people who act like human volcanoes fascinate me like fine art. Life is beautiful, and it is under attack in a manner heretofore unseen in history. I came to remind you of this, not make it worse. I might be writing a blog. Yes, that's all I am doing, now that I think about it. If you have a bad memory, you will forget this. Even I forget sometimes, so we're cool.
