Train In Vain

Here’s some mouth-poop from a Florida rep:

Rep. John Mica called Amtrak a “third world rail system…run in a Soviet-style operation” this morning on CNN.

“There’s no question the United States has a third-world rail system. It’s a monopoly run in a Soviet-style operation. Amtrak,” Mica added.

A few things:

The Soviets were, by definition, second world countries.

And what does Soviet-style mean? Does he mean successful and useful? Cause it was.

What about Amtrak is a “monopoly”? Neither Amtrak, nor the American government, controls the entire rail system. When it was run by the private sector, that caused monopolies, dumbass.

I don’t expect answers from this fucking boob. Like so many Republicans, he makes shit up using a bunch of tired buzzwords. Nothing they say comports with reality. Nothing. Florida, time for quarantine. It is well deserved.

About The Head Seminarian

I might be the nicest person you'll ever meet, but if you don't believe me, that is because I hate you. I went to war, I went to father, I came, I saw, and it is a mess. I wouldn't have it any other way. Shitty people amuse me, people who act like human volcanoes fascinate me like fine art. Life is beautiful, and it is under attack in a manner heretofore unseen in history. I came to remind you of this, not make it worse. I might be writing a blog. Yes, that's all I am doing, now that I think about it. If you have a bad memory, you will forget this. Even I forget sometimes, so we're cool.
